Fundraising

CAHC offers many opportunities for fundraising.

Fundraisers help individual players offset their hockey expenses, as well as raise money for the CAHC. Revenue raised from CAHC fundraising is used to help offset program operating expenses and keep registration fees low.

Football Frenzy

Football Frenzy is a sports lover’s favorite fundraiser! Tickets for the Football Frenzy NFL pool are $20 each. For each Football Frenzy card a player sells, $5 is credited into that player’s account and the remaining $15 goes to CAHC to help offset operating costs. This is an optional fundraiser for players, but CAHC encourages everyone to participate.

How does this football pool work? Each NFL team is assigned a letter or a symbol. Each Football Frenzy ticket has 17 random combinations of three (3) NFL teams, one combination for each week of the NFL regular season. At the end of each week of regular season play, the scores for every three (3) NFL team combinations are added up.

The highest three (3) scores and the lowest score for each of the 17 weeks win money!
  • First place $300
  • Second place $125
  • Third place $50
  • Last place $25

For example, if these are some of the game scores after the first week’s games:

Week 1:
SYMBOL TEAM ENDING SCORE VS SYMBOL TEAM ENDING SCORE
Q Miami Dolphins 3   F Chicago Bears 0
J Denver Broncos 20   & Tennessee Titans 10
$ Seattle Seahawks 14   L Green Bay Packers 21
If your ticket shows Week 1 with the symbols QJ$, the total score for that ticket is: Q+J+$ (Dolphins, Broncos, and Seahawks) 3+20+14 = 37
Remember each ticket has 68 chances to win a cash prize!
ShopWithScrip cards

This fundraising program involves gift cards from major retailers in various denominations. For every card a player purchases, two per cent of the card’s value is credited to the player’s account.  A small percentage is also donated to the Club, the amount of which varies on the card purchased.  This is an easy way to help with your hockey expenses as you can use the gift cards for frequent expenses like groceries and restaurants. It takes about 5 business days to receive the cards from the order date and once received, the cards are then handed out to families at practices. Watch for information in the Club emails about the next ShopWithScrip gift card order date!

Wreaths

The holiday wreath fundraiser is CAHC longest-running and most popular fundraiser. We have many dedicated community members who purchase wreaths annually to help support not only our players who sell wreaths, but also CAHC in general. The proceeds from the wreath sales are used to help offset CAHC costs, and a portion is raised specifically to support the scholarship program.
The wreaths are pre-decorated with pine cones, holly, and a velvet bow. Each player is encouraged to sell 10 wreaths. More information regarding the wreath cost and amount of the player credit per wreath sold will be posted in late fall.

Raffle

CAHC organizes a raffle annually in the fall. This is an optional fundraiser for players, but CAHC encourages everyone to participate. Ticket sales start in late fall and more details regarding this raffle will be posted in the fall.

Hockey Extravaganza

The Hockey Extravaganza is an annual supper and auction event hosted by CAHC in April. At this event, we celebrate our local program, recognize volunteers, and feature a guest speaker influential in the world of hockey. Past guests of honor for the Hockey Extravaganza include Gordie Howe. Mark Johnson, The Hanson Brothers, George Gwozdecky, Ray Bourque, Blake Geoffrion and even the Stanley Cup. It’s a great night full of good food, good company, and memory-making moments to help support kids who love playing hockey in Casper! More information regarding our next Hockey Extravaganza will be posted in late fall.

Travel tournament proceeds

CAHC hosts Travel Tournament team tournaments at the 6U/8U, Squirt, Pee Wee, and Bantam levels. These tournaments are organized and hosted by each Travel Tournament team’s parents. Monies raised in excess of the cost of the tournament are shared equally between the team’s players and is credited to those players’ accounts. Most teams host a raffle table and/or silent auction, a puck toss raffle, and/or sell items at the souvenir table. The more successful the tournament, the bigger the credit back to the players.

Fundraising and Equipment Committee

The Fundraising and Equipment committee organizes all the fundraising opportunities for CAHC. For more information regarding fundraising or the Fundraising and Equipment committee, please contact the Fundraising and Equipment committee chairperson.
